Football Insider rates the West Brom players after they recorded a 4-0 victory against Burnley at the Hawthorns on Monday evening.
Ben Foster 6 – Largely untroubled all night as he kept his third clean sheet of the season. Looked poised with the ball at his feet.
Craig Dawson 6 – Still looks like a centre-back playing out of position, but was comfortable when put under pressure by Scott Arfield.
Jonny Evans 7 – The former Manchester United star marshalled the Baggies’ defence impressible once again, as Burnley striker Sam Vokes struggled to have an impact.
Gareth McAuley 7 – Consistent defender failed to put a foot wrong once again, as he continues to prove that age is just a number at 36.
Allan Nyom 7 – The summer signing from Watford was quick into the tackle and got forward well despite being on his weaker left foot.
Claudio Yacob 7 – Combative midfielder was assured in front of the back four, keeping it simple as he supplied West Brom’s midfield and attack with ammunition to attack.
Darren Fletcher 8 – Lead by example for the Baggies as he worked tirelessly to nullify the likes of Jeff Hendrick in defence, before making a number of lung-busting efforts to join the attack. Finished superbly at the back post into the roof of the net for West Brom’s third.
Chris Brunt – 7 Continued to shake-off his long spell on the sidelines with another impressive display on the right of the Baggies midfield.
Matt Phillips – 8 Opened the scoring for the Baggies with an explosive close range finish, and continued to look dangerous throughout the match form the left flank. Superb assist for Fletcher’s goal.
James Morrison – 8 Linked with a move away from the Midlands, but if this performance is anything to go by he will not be leaving. Brilliant goal from the edge of the area for the Baggies’ second.
Salomon Rondon – 9 An almost-perfect display from the Venezuelan striker, supplied Morrison with brilliant assist and held ball up fantastically before finding the net himself with an instinctive turn and shot from eight yards out.
James McLean (for Matt Phillips on 75 mins) 7
Hal Robson-Kanu (for Salomon Rondon on 79 mins) 6
Craig Gardner (for James Morrison on 83 mins) 6
In other West Brom news, this 20-year-old should make a permanent switch.
