West Ham star Enner Valencia is on the verge of a £1.7million loan move to Lazio, according to reports.

The Daily Star citing Italian football expert Gianluca di Marzioclaim that the versatile forward is set to move to the Italian outfit on loan, before an obligatory £11million permanent transfer is completed in a year’s time.

The report also says that Swansea are weighing up a £10million bid themselves for the Ecuador international as they look to bolster their attacking ranks before the start of the 2016-17 Premier League season.

But Lazio are leading the race and if a deal were to go through it would be the second big exit from West Ham this summer, after James Tomkins joined Crystal Palace in a £10million move on Tuesday.

Valencia still has three years left on his current deal at the Olympic Stadium but could be moved on in the current transfer window as the club look to bring in a marquee signing to lead the line next season.

The 26-year-old forward played 25 games in all competition in his recently completed domestic campaign and scored six goals and provided three assists along the way.
