West ham are in the hunt for Napoli striker Manolo Gabbiadini as the club search for a marquee forward to lead the line at the Olympic Stadium next season.

Sky Italy journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has claimed on his website that the Hammers are one of a number of Premier League clubs eyeing a swoop for the 24-year-old.

It is said the Serie A club value Gabbiadini the £19million mark amid interest from Tottenham, Stoke and German outfit Wolfsburg.

The Italy international is believed to be open to a move away from the Italian outfit after he spent much of last season on the bench and featured in just 22 league games all season.

Gabbiadini was left out of Italy’s provisional squad for Euro 2016 by Antonio Conte following his season on the fringes.

The Italian international has over three years remaining on his contract and it is believed that Napoli will wait on sanctioning the player’s exit until the future of superstar Gonzalo Higuain is more clear.

West Ham have publicly made it clear they are in the market for at least one A-list forward this summer and have registered their interest in the likes of Alexandre Lacazette, Michy Batshuayi, Christian Benteke and Simone Zaza.

In other West Ham news, Hammers captain Mark Noble is confident the club will retain the services of Dimitri Payet despite a wealth of interest from abroad.
