West Ham could have potentially dropped a starting line up hint after placing youngster Ashley Fletcher on the cover of their match programme.

The Hammers host League Two side Accrington on Wednesday night in the EFL Cup third-round.

Fletcher has emerged as first-team player under Bilic this season and could be handed a start ahead of Simone Zaza for the cup tie.

A long-term injury to senior player Andy Carroll has given Fletcher the chance to impress and he has made six appearances already this season.

West Ham’s official Twitter account revealed that the 20-year-old striker was on the cover of Wednesday’s match programme, meaning he could have the opportunity to impress once again.

Fletcher moved to the club after leaving Manchester Untied and has looked energetic in a struggling West Ham side.

Manager Slaven Bilic has hailed the club’s next three fixtures as “cup finals” and that begins with the Accrington match.

West Ham will be under immense pressure to deliver a positive result after losing four of their opening five league games.

The Hammers were also dumped out of the Europa League in a qualifier with Romanian side Astra Giurgiu, to comlete a miserable start this season.
