Slaven Bilic has made teenage duo Reece Oxford and Domingos Quina available for season-long loan moves from West Ham this summer, according to a report.
The Daily Mail reported that the east London club are keen for the highly-rated duo to get first-team experience, and are willing to sanction moves for the entire 2017-18 campaign.
It is believed that the Hammers want to complete early deals in the transfer window in order to give both Oxford and Quina a full pre-season with their new clubs.
If the club can strike loan deals for both of their emerging stars, then a clause will be included that will allow them to be recalled in the January transfer window if needed.
Oxford, 18, broke onto the scene in Bilic’s first Premier League game by starting at the base of the Hammers midfield against Arsenal, and won the man of the match award for his display.
However, he has made just 16 senior appearances in total for the Hammers and was loaned to Reading in January, where he has managed just five outings for the play-off finalists.
Portugal Under-19 international Quina has played in just two first-team matches for Bilic’s side, and will now be shipped out on loan to aid his progression.
At just 17 years of age, Quina can play in central midfield in both attacking and defensive roles, and has been known to prove effective in the Hammers’ reserve side from left midfield, too.
Football Insider verdict:
Oxford’s promise of becoming the future West Ham captain has taken a turn for the worse, after failing to have an impact in the Hammers’ side this season or in Jaap Stam’s Reading team. He is desperate to gain first-team football at Championship level in order to prevent his career from already falling by the wayside, with his potential yet to be fulfilled. Quina is at the other end of the spectrum and is yet to make it big on the first-team stage, with his talent also undoubted. Sending them both on loan will benefit all parties involved, and it could see the duo return to star in Bilic’s side in the 2018-19 season.
