Alvaro Arbeloa could be in line to make his first start for West Ham when they host Accrington Stanley in the third round of the EFL Cup.

Slaven Bilic could make seven changes to the Hammers side that conceded four away to West Brom on Saturday afternoon.

Dimitri Payet, Harvard Nordtveit, James Collins, Angelo Ogbonna, Cheikhou Kouyate, Michail Antonio and Simone Zaza could either be rested or dropped for the midweek cup fixture.

The Hammers lost 4-2 for a second consecutive week on Saturday, which means Winston Reid and Reece Oxford could be in line to make the starting XI against Accrington.

With Aaron Creswell injured and no other recognised left-back, Arthur Masuaku could start at the back, despite the 22-year-old conceding a penalty at the weekend with a bizarre handball.

Captain Mark Noble will be hoping to start in the middle of the park, alongside Pedro Obiang, as he hopes to prevent his team from losing five straight games in all competitions.

Sofiane Feghouli will be hoping to start on the flank, with Gokhan Tore occupying the other side, as the attacking duo look to prevent an upset at the London stadium.

Additionally, Manuel Lanzini could start in behind Ashley Fletcher, with the 20-year-old looking to score his first goal for the club in what could be his first start.
