West Ham are preparing a stunning £20million bid for Juventus striker Simone Zaza, according to Sky Italy.
Southampton and Everton are also interested in signing the 24-year-old, who is contracted to the Serie A champions until the summer of 2020.
West Ham have made enquiries over the availability of the 24-year-old as they look to bolster their attacking options for next season.
Sky Sports Italy has claimed that Zaza is on a shortlist of strikers targeted by the club this summer following a disappointing return from their current roster of front men in 2015-16.
Italy international Zaza has scored eight goals in 24 appearances in all competitions since his £12.6million switch from Sassulo last summer.
However, the Italy international has been on the fringes of the Juventus team for most of that time and is deemed surplus to requirements in Turin.
Nevertheless, Zaza is rated in the £20million-plus bracket by Juventus.
Zaza, who has won 12 caps for Italy, supplied the assist for Eder’s match-winning goal on Friday night as Italy beat Sweden 1-0.
West Ham are ready to smash their club record transfer fee of £15.5million, which was spent to entice Andy Carroll from Liverpool in the summer of 2013.
Carroll is comfortably the Hammers’ record signing, although the club have also spent £10million-plus fees on the likes of Payet, Enner Valencia and Angel Ogbonna.
In other West Ham news, Newcastle are keen on signing one of the Hammers’ £15million-rated emerging stars.
