Dimitri Payet has delivered a bombshell to West Ham by admitting he could leave West Ham in January – and fans on Twitter have stated they would sell him for big money.
The French playmaker has revealed he is asking questions about the way their season has gone so far for Slaven Bilic’s side.
Payet, who played in the Hammers 1-1 draw with Stoke at the London Stadium on Saturday had this to say about his future:
“We’ve had a very poor start,” said Payet, speaking on French television show Telefoot. “Leave in January? I’m asking other questions right now but I’ve closed the door to nothing.”
Supporters were not surprised by his comments as they pretty clear that they would sell him and use the money to buy a proper striker in January.
But one fan felt that if Payet did leave in January then the Irons would get relegated to the Championship.
Bilic’s side are currently one place above the relegation zone with 11 points from 11 league games.

I'd say yes to selling payet for big money but our owners won't re invest it in good players so I wanna keep him.

Couldnt care less if Payet goes. Use the money for a proper striker, put Lanzini Ayew & Antonio behind him, that's quality, we'll be fine.

Payet, 29, has not quite been able to reach the heights of his stunning debut campaign for West Ham but has still scored two goals and supplied five assists from his 11 matches, including a wonder goal against Middlesbrough in the Premier League last month.
In other West Ham team news, supporters react on Twitter as Dimitri Payet fails to inspire his side to a win against Stoke.
