Mark Noble will miss West Ham’s clash against Tottenham after the international break and Hammers supporters were surprisingly upbeat on Twitter.
The 29-year-old club stalwart was booked on the 88th minute mark following a foul on Charlie Adam during the 1-1 draw with Stoke, resulting in his fifth booking in all competitions and he will now miss the clash at White Hart Lane.
He has made 15 appearances for Slaven Bilic’s side this season and as well as being the captain he has established himself as a mainstay in the team after making his debut in 2004.
However, West Ham fans on social media celebrated the fact he wouldn’t feature against Spurs with many unimpressed with his displays.
Here are a selection of their messages on Twitter:

The midfielder has contributed to two goals and two assists to his side this season as the Hammers struggle in 17th place in the league table.
Having finishing in seventh last season fans are now expecting much more from the team and may be keen to move to another level and away from players such as Noble.
They will travel to Tottenham, who are sat in fifth place place after 11 fixtures and are the only unbeaten team left in the Premier League.
In other West Ham news, Phil Parkes believes this Hammers ace has been playing below his usual standards this season.
