Michail Antonio’s goalscoring performance for West Ham against Stoke was met with a mixed response on Twitter after the Hammers drew 1-1 with Mark Hughes’ men.

The powerful winger scored for the Hammers with his sixth goal of the season, as he headed past goalkeeper Lee Grant, before Bojan capitalised on goalkeeper Adrian’s mistake to earn a 1-1 draw.

Antonio, who moved to East London in the summer of 2015, has developed a good reputation among fans as one of the only shining lights during the Hammers’ dismal start to the 2016-17 campaign.

The 26-year-old was on hand to add to his five goals this season, but it’s another Premier League match where Slaven Bilic’s side have failed to secure a win.

West Ham fans reacted on Twitter with a mixed response. Many believe that Antonio was poor throughout the match, but were ecstatic to see him break the deadlock at the London Stadium.

Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Antonio, who has been used in a number of positions for the Hammers, played as a right wing back against the Potters as Sam Byram remains ruled out after going under the knife.

The former Nottingham Forest man’s sixth goal was once again a header, with all of his goals this season coming in the air.

In other West Ham news, David Gold has revealed that this senior Hammers star has fully recovered from injury.
