West Ham supporters are delighted on Twitter after the club completed a deal for Arthur Masuaku from Olympiacos.
The Hammers confirmed the deal on Monday for the 22-year-old defender and his signing has eased concerns over a selection crisis.
Michail Antonio has been playing as a full-back at West Ham for several months but supporters were furious on Twitter for his performance against NK Domzale.
With new signing Masuaku slotting it at left-back, it would allow Sam Byram to return to his more favoured right-back position and Antonio to push up the pitch in to a more comfortable advanced role.
West Ham fans have responded on Twitter with delight to the announcement of Masuaku.
For a backup LB signing, Masuaku looks class. Could even keep his spot when Cresswell comes back from injury

Really appreciate Masuaku’s comments. Shows a real desire to come here and play, I expect it will be the same with Ayew. 2 quality signings

West Ham sign left back Masuaku, brilliant business. LFC would’ve done with that

Don’t know much about Masuaku but big welcome all the same! Big boots to fill in Cresswells absence! #WelcomeMasuaku

Delighted with a proper left back signing in Masuaku. Ayew next to play anywhere across the front. Bacca is the final jigsaw piece #COYI

Masuaku is a good signing but it is not the MARQUEE signing

Masuaku looks like a great signing but this means that either him or cresswell will likely not start maybe he can play RB or something

Slaven Bilic had been publicly chasing a left-back for some time following first-choice left-back Aaron Cresswell being ruled out for up to four months with a knee injury.
Football Insider revealed on Sunday that the Hammers had sealed the double signing of left-back Masuaku and forward Andre Ayew following a breakthrough in talks.
Masuaku arrives in England having won back-to-back titles with Olympiacos and he has made 12 appearances in the Champions League, which will bolster the squad’s experience for their European qualifiers.
The Frenchman made 74 appearances in all competitions for the Greek side, scoring two goals and picking up nine assists.
In other West Ham transfer news, their youngster has agreed a loan switch to a League One side.
