West Ham can go into next week’s London derby with confidence as it was revealed Tottenham could be without seven key players through injury.
The Evening Standard identified seven players who could be forced to sit out the clash for Mauricio Pochettino’s side after Christian Eriksen was added to a mounting injury list.
The midfield play-maker picked up a minor knock while on international duty with Denmark and Mousa Dembele and Vincent Janssen were also injured during the clash between Belgium and Holland.
The trio face a fitness assessment ahead of the clash against West Ham and Eric Lamela and Toby Alderweireld are also hoping for a return after missing the 1-1 draw with Arsenal.
Pochettino was boosted by the return of Harry Kane against Arsenal, with the striker scoring in the second-half but he may not be fully fit yet and could be a doubt to play the full game against West Ham.
With Kane included, Tottenham could miss those five players as well as Dele Alli and Ben Davies who are facing lengthy spells on the sidelines.
Tottenham remain the only side in English football not to lose a game so far this season but have not picked up a win in their last seven fixtures.
The Hammers, who currently sit in 17th place in the Premier League, started the season in disappointing fashion but have started to regain form in recent weeks and will be hopeful of delivering another blow to the struggling Spurs side.
