Lyon midfielder Clement Grenier could be the next West Ham signing, according to a report.
French media outlet Infosport+ claimed on their official Twitter account that Grenier is being targeted by the Hammers in a possible loan-to-buy deal.

However, Slaven Bilic faces competition from Italian giants Roma and Fiorentina for the five-time France international.
The tweet translates as follows: ‘@clemgrenier courted by Roma, Fiorentina and West Ham for a transfer or a loan with an option to purchase this winter.’
Grenier has made just four substitute appearances all season for Lyon, as the likes of Corentin Tolisso, Sergi Darder and Maxime Gonalons all sit ahead of him in the midfield pecking order.
The Hammers could look to bring in a midfielder in January, as Havard Nordtveit has begun life in East London in disappointing fashion while concerns still remain over the performances of Pedro Obiang.
Captain Mark Noble desperately needs support in the heart of the West Ham midfield, as Cheikhou Kouyate continues to fill in at centre-back.
A move for Grenier, who has made just 30 appearances in the last three seasons, would fill that void as he offers an impressive array of short and long passing, as well as an ability to score from set-piece situations.
Lyon could be tempted to cash in on their out-of-favour midfielder, as they risk losing him on a free transfer in just over 18 months’ time.
Football Insider verdict:
Grenier brings with him a huge amount of pedigree after a number of successful years in Lyon that has seen him pick up a French Cup winners’ medal as well as national team caps. However, in recent years, Grenier has struggled with injury. Last season he broke his thighbone which kept him out for 18 games, before fracturing his shin this season which has kept him out for the majority of September and October. Bilic must consider the fitness of Grenier and his susceptibility to pick up long-term injuries, before moving to sign the French star. His quality, though, is undeniable and he would certainly add some positives to the West Ham midfield.
In other West Ham transfer news, the Hammers are ready to table a £20million-plus offer for this Premier League forward.
