Leeds should consider a move for free agent Marcin Wasilewski this summer to help improve their defensive options.
The centre-back is currently without a club following his release from Premier League side Leicester and the Whites would be pulling of a very smart signing if they pursued his signature.
Leeds manager Thomas Christiansen is in desperate need of some centre-back reinforcements, with Liam Cooper and Pontus Jansson the only senior options at his disposal.
The Yorkshire giants need to bring in some more options at centre0back and searching for players out of contract is a good cheap alternative to splashing out on in the transfer market.
Wasilewski is an extremely experienced defender that could make an immediate impact at Elland Road and bring some strong leadership qualities too.
The 37-year-old may be reaching the latter stages of his career, but he could certainly do a job in a title push for Leeds next season.
He was previously promoted from the Championship with Leicester in the 2013/14 season and played four times during their famous Premier League triumph in the 2015/16 campaign.
Wasilewski has 60 international caps under his belt for Poland has proven himself in English football with the Foxes.
He is known for being a no-nonsense defender and would become an instant favourite with the Whites supporters.
Leeds pushed for a play-off spot last season and much of their success was built on their solid defence, something that they must look to replicate.
They are currently very short at the back, but trustworthy Polishman Wasilewski would go a long way to steadying the ship.
In other Leeds transfer news, they are keen on a defender from Championship rivals Aston Villa.
