Yannick Bolasie should be dropped from the Everton team after his shocking performance against Swansea.
The 27-year-old made little impact in the 1-1 draw on Saturday and manager Ronald Koeman should consider recalling either Kevin Mirallas or Gerard Deulofeu to replace him.
The midfielder was wasteful with his crosses against Swansea and was guilty of missing a one-on-one opportunity with goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski.
He has been a regular in the team following his £25million switch to the Toffees in the summer, but Koeman needs to remind him that he must start repaying that large transfer fee.
Bolasie has shown off his flair and skills to the Everton crowd, but even they are growing increasingly frustrated with his end product.
The winger has scored one goal and supplied 14 assists so far in his opening 14 appearances for the club.
The Toffees have aspirations of qualifying for Europe this season and Koeman needs to make sure his squad remain competitive.
They failed to respond to the 5-0 hammering at the hands of Chelsea before the international break and changes should be made for Sunday’s away clash against Southampton.
Bolasie encountered a similar end-product issue at his former club Crystal Palace, where he scored a relatively puny 13 goals in 144 appearances.
The DR Congo international is certainly a player that can achieve big things at Goodison Park this season, he just needs a reminder that his performances need to reach a high level to stay in the starting XI.
In other Everton news, their star was named in Garth Crooks’ team of the week after his display against Swansea.
