Tottenham midfielder Georges-Kevin N’Koudou should be handed his first Premier League start against Swansea.
Spurs host Bob Bradley’s side in the Premier League on Saturday and will be looking to end their recent poor form.
The north London club have just one victory in their last 10 games across all competitions and have slipped seven points behind league leaders Chelsea in the title race.
N’Koudou should be given an opportunity against Swansea to stake his place in the team after disappointing performances from Heung-Min Son and Christian Eriksen in recent weeks.
The 21-year-old is the only one of Mauricio Pochettino’s summer signings who has not been given a fair chance, with Victor Wanyama, Vincent Janssen and Moussa Sissoko all having first-team opportunities.
N’Koudou came off the bench in Saturday’s 2-1 defeat against Chelsea and impressed supporters with his pace and direct approach.
The Frenchman is the only natural winger in the Spurs squad and could offer them a different style of attack. The forgotten man can give Pochettino something the team is crying out for.
He has started just one game this season in the EFL Cup and should be tested in the Premier League, where he’s only made four cameo appearances for a total of 29 minutes.
Son had a quiet game against Chelsea and although Eriksen scored a fine goal against Chelsea, he has looked a shadow of the creative player from last season.
Pochettino should be looking to attack against a Swansea who are 19th in the table and looked defensively clueless in the 5-4 victory over Crystal Palace.
N’Koudou will not get a better opportunity to be introduced to the Spurs starting line-up and deserves his chance to shine with his team-mates misfiring.
In other Tottenham news, Gylfi Sigurdsson is one of the top three players to have represented both the club and Swansea.
