Joe Mason and Jon Dadi Bodvarsson are expected to return to Wolves starting lineup against Barnsley on Tuesday.

Walter Zenga’s side shared the spoils on Saturday against Burton in a 1-1 draw.

However, the Italian manager may have been unhappy with his side’s draw against the newly promoted side.

Paul Gladon and Ivan Cavaleiro started the match against the Brewers, but they could be the two to lose their place to the returning Mason and Bodvarsson.

Wolves currently sit in 12th place in the league after six matches, and they will face a hard test against Barnsley, who are placed in third.

Mason and Bodvarsson are the club’s two stop scorers with three and two goals between them.

Alongside them will see on loan Benfica forward Helder Costa, who brings European flair to the side following spells at Monaco and Deportivo La Coruna.

Behind the front three will see midfield trio Joao Teixeira and Conor Coady lineup alongside Saturday’s goalscorer Prince Oniangue.

Centre-back duo Richard Stearman and Danny Batth will lineup in defence, while Matt Doherty and Cameron Borthwick-Jackson will lineup on either side of the pair, providing width to the Wolves side.

Nigeria international and club stalwart Carl Ikeme will also be expected to lineup behind the Wolves defence.

Wolves last faced Barnsley in 2013 suffering a 2-1 defeat after goals from Jacob Mellis and Chris Dagnall cancelled out a Bjorn Sigurdarson strike.

The Tykes have started the new season in impressive form and they head to Molineux on the back of two consecutive victories.

In other Wolves team news, flying winger Jordan Graham has revealed that he is close to returning to full fitness after injuring his knee last season.
