Kenny Jackett has been appointed the new Rotherham manager – and Wolves fans have wished him the best of luck on Twitter.

Jackett was axed by Wolves in July after the club was purchased by the Chinese conglomerate Fosun International, who opted to replace the 54-year-old with Walter Zenga.

The former Millwall manager will be best remembered by Wolves fans for gaining promotion to League One with the Midlands giants in 2014.

With a impressive record of 67 wins in 138 league and cup encounters as manager, as well as 57 clean sheets in that time, Jackett could be the perfect appointment for rock bottom Rotherham.

Wolves fans took to Twitter to wish their old manager the best of luck at the New York Stadium, with many predicting that he will be a good appointment.

Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Jackett takes over a Rotherham side that have won just once in the Championship all season, losing nine of their 13 domestic encounters.

On six points, the Millers are already five points adrift of 23rd placed Wigan Athletic, despite making 13 signings this summer.

In other Wolves news, Leeds boss Garry Monk has said this to his fans ahead of their Championship clash against Wolves.
