Wolvers fans have taken to Twitter to express that delight at speculation that Mario Balotelli could be on his way to Molineux.
The Italian striker is surplus to requirements at Anfield and has been linked to a host of clubs during the transfer window.
The Express and Star report that the Liverpool forward could look to move down the divisions in a bid to reignite his career, with Port Vale also a possible destination.
The Italy international had his odds slashed to 2/1 by betting company Sky Bet on Thursday afternoon morning to make a sensational move to Molineux.
Wolves fans were understandable excited by the news and took to Twitter to hail what some regarded as a huge coup for the second tier club.
Here are a selection of their messages on Twitter:
Imagine if Balotelli actually signed for Wolves and made his debut against Cambridge in the League Cup.

Wolves have been busy in the transfer market this summer since the club’s takeover by the Chinese investment firm Fosun International, with the likes of Prince Oniangue, Helder Costa, Jon Dadi Bodvarsson and Joao Teixeira joining their ranks.
The club have also been closely linked to Anderson Talisca from Benfica, who is valued at around the £20million mark and would become the most expensive Championship player if he signed.
