Yaya Toure is set to stay at Manchester City next season following talks with club officials, Football Insider sources understand.
The Ivory Coast star had been ready to quit Etihad Stadium and join Inter Milan this summer.
But Toure has had a change of heart following discussions with City top brass in recent days and will commit himself to the club for another campaign.
He has been told that he remains integral to the plans of manager Manuel Pellegrini and that the club do not want him to leave.
Speaking on Tuesday night in Toronto as City arrived for the first leg of their post-season tour of Canada and United States, Pellegrini said: “I always say Yaya is happy here. He will stay here because I know the way he thinks.”
City have been in talks with Inter about transferring Toure in a deal worth around £14.5million that would reunited the 32-year-old with his former manager Roberto Mancini.
