Leeds’ recent stuttering form is adding to the drama for the club off the field, according to a reliable journalist.
The Yorkshire giants have won just one of their last six Championship matches, suffering four defeats and one draw and it has left them out of the play-off spots by three points with two matches left.
Now, there is very rarely a dull summer for the club under owner Massimo Cellino and The Sun’s transfer expert Alan Nixon claimed on his personal Twitter account on Monday evening that the results are “adding to the capers behind the scenes.”
When replying to a fan who had asked what he thinks will happen at Leeds this summer the experienced journalist also said “loads.”
“Loads. Could go anyway at every level. This dip only adding to the capers behind the scenes,” wrote Nixon about Leeds on his personal Twitter account.
Leeds did make the signing of young manager Garry Monk in the previous summer after his sacking from Swansea and he has so far improved the club following on from Steve Evans’ tenure.
However, the 38-year-old has been linked with a move to Championship rivals Norwich by the Daily Mirror, who claim the Canaries are ready to pounce if Leeds don’t win promotion.
The Yorkshire club also have a number of valuable assets in their playing staff such as Chris Wood, Ronaldo Vieira, Pontus Jansson and Charlie Taylor, but they could be at risk of losing such individuals if they don’t reach the Premier League next season.
In other Leeds news, Monk has issued a plea ahead of the Whites’ clash against Norwich.
