Chelsea fans have expressed mixed opinions on Twitter after sports broadcaster Jim White recently claimed that Leicester City’s Danny Drinkwater could be heading to Stamford Bridge this summer.
The midfielder has shown his mettle in the Premier League after he was a key contributor in Leicester’s title win back in 2015/16, netting three goals and providing eight assists during his 35 appearances.
The broadcaster for Sky Sports news and TalkSport revealed that boss Antonio Conte was a big admirer of the 27-year-old on his official Twitter account on Saturday.

While some supporters have made it clear that Antonio Conte would be making a mistake signing the Leicester playmaker, other fans feel that he is a decent player and would fit in well in the squad.

Drinkwater though 🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️ he'd be 4th choice so a good squad player but spending that much on him is a joke (if it's true) #CFC

Drinkwater climbed through the rankings at Manchester United but after a series of loan spells he made the move in 2012 to the Kingpower Stadium where he developed and became a key figure in the Leicester squad.
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has been clear about his views on the club’s lack of transfer activity over the summer which could be why the Italian manager is so keen to secure a last-minute signing before the Premier League season begins.
