Rangers fans go into meltdown after McInnes decision

Rangers fans have taken to social media in a rage after it was revealed Derek McInnes would be staying at Aberdeen.

McInnes had long been the short-priced favourite for the Blues manager’s job with the bookies during Rangers’ manager hunt, since the departure of Pedro Caixinha.

Rangers had just beaten McInnes’ side twice in a row to go above them in the Scottish Premiership, and many expected the manager to make the move to the Gers.

However, that has turned out to not be the case with Aberdeen chairman Stewart Milne declaring himself the “happiest man in the world” on the BBC as he held onto to his manager.

The news was officially confirmed on the Aberdeen Twitter page on Thursday evening.

Rangers fans responded to the news by directing their anger at the board, as the long manager search continues to drag on.

One fan revealed that they didn’t care for McInnes but the whole situation has been embarrassing for the club, and another fan said the inability to get the manager showed that the club was a shambles.
