Aberdeen and Hibernian are weighing up moves to sign Allan Campbell from Luton Town, sources have told Football Insider.

Luton are willing to listen to offers for the midfielder and have alerted clubs across England and Scotland to his availability ahead of the August 30 deadline.

Campbell, 26, spent last season on loan at Millwall following Luton's promotion to the Premier League and would prefer to remain in the Championship.

However, he is keeping his options open while clubs in Europe continue to monitor his situation, and Scottish sides remain keen on handing him a return to the SPFL.

Luton Town ready to cash in on Allan Campbell amid Aberdeen and Hibernian interest

Campbell joined Luton from Motherwell when his contract with the Scottish outfit was set to expire in 2021, and played a key role in their promotion season in 2022-23.

However, upon their promotion to the Premier League, the Hatters decided the midfielder was surplus to requirements, signing both Ross Barkley and Albert Sambi Lokonga in his place.

A mixed spell with Millwall, shrouded in a string of injury issues in the latter half of the season, has pushed Luton into advertising his sale.

He suffered an achilles tendon issue in December, before a fresh ankle injury ruled him out between February and April, and he ended the season with a back injury.

That poor injury record has done little to put off interested clubs, however, with sides across Europe considering making moves for his signature.

Both Aberdeen and Hibernian are set on handing Campbell a return to Scotland to kick-start his career both in club and international football.

He has featured for the Scotland national team just once, and has not received a call-up since 2022.

Campbell will take his time to consider his options before moving, with just over three weeks until the end of the transfer window.
