West Ham United supporters have taken to social media to slaughter midfielder Cheikhou Kouyate for his performance against Watford on Sunday afternoon.

The 27-year-old featured for the full 90 minutes as the Hammers slumped to a disappointing 2-0 Premier League defeat at Vicarage Road.

Watford forwards Will Hughes and Richarlison scored in each half as David Moyes got off to the worst possible start as West Ham manager.

Kouyate had two great chances to get the visitors back in the match but he saw his first-half shot brilliantly saved by Heurelho Gomes before produce a poor finish just after the interval.

The West Ham fans expressed their anger on social media and the majority of fans singled out the Senegal international for criticism.
