Agbonlahor: I don't blame Alioski after he quits Leeds for 'double-your-money' deal
Gabby Agbonlahor has admitted he is not surprised Ezgjan Alioski has joined Al Ahli after quitting Leeds United.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England forward heaped praise of the 29-year-old Whites idol for “cashing in” on his solid Premier League campaign.
Saudia Arabian outfit Al Ahli announced the signing of Alioski yesterday (29 July).
He was a free agent after his Leeds deal expired at the end of June.
The club confirmed in their retained list at the end of May they had offered him a new contract.
Football Insider revealed in June they had returned with a second improved offer.

Asked whether he was surprised to see the versatile left-sided player sign for Al Ahli, Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “Not really, no.
“He’s 29, football’s about making money as well as playing in the top league.
“They’ve offered him probably half of what he can get in Saudi Arabia.
“He’s probably thinking ‘How long have I got left? I’ve had a decent season in the Premier League, how can I cash in on that and get a wage somewhere else?’
“I don’t blame him. There’s a lot of other players who do these sort of transfers when they’re 25 so I don’t blame him at all.
“He’s just thinking about the right move for him and for his family.”
Alioski’s 171 Leeds appearances across all competitions yielded 22 goals and 19 assists.
He featured in 36 Premier League games last season as the Whites finished ninth in their first top-flight campaign for 16 years.
