Agbonlahor: 'Animal' may have solved major Tottenham problem after Gollini reveal
Cristian Romero could be the man to sort out the Tottenham defence, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker insisted Romero should be given a proper run of games after his encouraging full Premier League debut.
The defender started the game against Chelsea well before a second-half capitulation saw the visitors run out 3-0 winners.
He followed that up by playing the full 90 minutes in the penalty shoot-out victory over Wolves last night.
As quoted by football.london, Romero’s former Atalanta teammate and current Spurs goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini insisted he is an “animal” who is “perfect for the Premier League”.
Under Jose Mourinho last term Spurs failed to land on a settled back four with Eric Dier, Davinson Sanchez, Toby Alderweireld and Joe Rodon all failing to seriously impress.

Asked whether Romero could solve the problem for Nuno Espirito Santo after his first sighting, Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “He probably can do, yes.
“It’s still early doors. In the first half against Chelsea he did well, and showed why they signed him, but in the second half he wasn’t as good.
“They’ve just got to keep it up and get him a proper run of games before we can judge him fully. I like what I’ve seen so far.”
Romero moved to Tottenham from Serie A side Atalanta on an initial season-long loan deal during the summer transfer window.
Spurs have an option to make the deal permanent next summer for a €50million fee (£43million).
Romero, 23, has now played five times across all competitions for the north London club.
