Agbonlahor: Brendan Rodgers 'looking for the sack' amid Leicester City twist
Brendan Rodgers wants to be sacked by Leicester City, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attackers suggested the only thing keeping Rodgers at Leicester is the potential of a big pay-off if he is sacked.
The Foxes are bottom of the Premier League table after losing five of their opening six games, conceding 16 goals in the process.
As quoted by Sky Sports after their 5-2 hammering against Brighton & Hove Albion earlier this month (5 September), the 49-year-old claimed his side are like a jigsaw with “pieces missing”.
Wout Faes was the only outfield player that Leicester signed in the summer transfer window.
“I think he’s under a lot of pressure but I don’t think he cares, to be honest,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.

“When I look at his body language, he looks like someone who is ready to go but he won’t leave because of the big contract he is on.
“If they said to him, ‘There’s £10million, we’re paying you off’. He’d say ‘Thanks very much, I’ll pack my stuff and go’.
“He doesn’t look like a manager who is bothered about the pressure or bothered about losing his job.
“He feels he hasn’t been given the right amount of money [in the transfer window] so is thinking ‘Sack me, no problem’.
“When you call out the board, you’re looking for the sack, to be honest.”
Leicester are next in action on Saturday (17 September) when they travel to unbeaten Tottenham.
An unlikely win could lift them out of the bottom three.
