Agbonlahor: Celtic told to complete Forster deal after journalist's intriguing update
Fraser Forster “loves” Celtic and would jump at the chance to return to Parkhead, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England forward claimed the goalkeeper has little chance of playing regularly at Southampton.
A Celtic source has told Football Insider that the club have enquired about a potential deal for their former goalkeeper.
The Sun reported on 22 July the 33-year-old has rejected a new Saints deal with his current contract set to expire in 2022.
Forster spent the 2019-20 treble-winning season on loan with the Hoops.
Football Insider revealed in January his ex-teammates were shocked he did not return to Glasgow last season.

Instead, he stayed at St. Mary’s but managed just six appearances in the Premier League.
He has now played 115 times in the English top-flight in his time with Southampton.
Asked whether a return to Parkhead could appeal to Forster, Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “Definitely.
“He used to play at Celtic so I’m sure he’d like to go back there and I’m sure it’s a club that he loves.
“I just don’t see him playing at Southampton and being their number one.
“It would be a no brainer for him and one that he should try and get it over the line.”
Forster has spent four previous spells, including loans, at the Scottish giants.
He has kept 118 clean sheets in 236 games for Celtic and won seven major honours with the club.
