Kiko Casilla was in the Leeds United starting XI for their last two games because they want to get rid him of this summer.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England forward suggested Marcelo Bielsa was putting the goalkeeper in the shop window ahead of the transfer window.
Football Insider revealed in April Leeds are willing to let Casilla leave for nothing with his £40,000-a-week contract making it difficult to find him a new club.
The Spaniard has been unable to win his place back in Bielsa’s starting XI after serving an eight-match racism ban last year.
Illan Meslier, 21, has enjoyed a breakthrough campaign this term having kept 11 clean sheets in 35 Premier League games.
Therefore it came as a surprise when he was dropped in favour of Meslier in Leeds’ penultimate game of the season against Southampton.
But Agbonlahor has suggested it is more to do with Casilla.
He told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “The manager might be doing it for a different reason.
“He might be giving the second choice goalkeeper a chance to play so teams can see him if they want to move him on.
“Leeds couldn’t get into Europe, they couldn’t get relegated. Even Rodrigo started the last game of the season.
“Maybe he’s trying to give other people a chance.
“Just get him [Casilla] some game time and help him move.”
Casilla has now played 62 games across all competitions for Leeds.
The one-time Spain international still has two years left to run on his Elland Road contract.
In other news, Leeds United have landed a stunning £133million windfall.
