Gabby Agbonlahor has insisted Jurgen Klopp will not leave Liverpool despite the club's botched attempted to join a proposed Super League.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-England and Aston Villa striker insisted the German will want to have another go at winning the Premier League next season when Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez return to fitness.

Klopp was left furious at his bosses for being hung out to dry on Sky Sports and was devastated by not being consulted over the proposal.

Asked whether he could see the 53-year-old quitting the Premier League champions, Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “I don’t think so, no.

“Liverpool have been that poor this season, he’ll want to get Van Dijk back, get Gomez back and give it another go next season.

“Like he said [on Monday], it was hard for managers and players because they don’t deserve any stick. They’re just a small fish in a big pond.

“The owners are the billionaires. The players and managers haven’t got a say in anything.

“It’s like the owner of McDonald's telling their employees what to do. You haven’t got a choice.

“It’s the billionaire owner’s little toy. They do what they like. They don’t care about fans, players or managers.

“If Jurgen Klopp was to walk they’d be like ‘Ok, no problem, we’ll bring someone else in.’ They’re that stubborn and money orientated.

“But I don’t see him walking, to be honest.”
