Agbonlahor: Grealish will love 'big' Aston Villa transfer news
Jack Grealish will be “really excited” to play with Ashley Young at Aston Villa, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Villa’s record Premier League goalscorer hailed the deal as a “big singing”.
The Lions confirmed last week (17 June) Young had returned to Villa Park, a decade after departing for Manchester United.
He has penned a one-year deal with the club after leaving Inter Milan.
“It’s a big signing,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“It makes sense on all levels. Ashley Young proved last season he can still play at the highest level, he’s proven he’s versatile.

“Aston Villa have lost Neil Taylor and Ahmed Elmohamady, what do they need? They need someone who can help cover those positions.
“Will he start at left-back or right-back? I don’t think so because Matty Cash and Matt Targett have been outstanding. But he’s cover at left-back, cover at right-back. If the wingers aren’t playing well, he can start there and he can start as a number 10.
“As much as people think he’s coming in as cover. He will be wanting to start.
“I’m sure Jack Grealish will have looked up to somebody like Ashley Young so he’ll be really excited to play with Ashley in the attacking positions.”
Young scored 37 goals and provided 59 assists in 190 games for Villa in his first spell.
Since leaving the club he has won the Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup Europa League and Serie A.
