Agbonlahor issues 'definite' verdict on Arsenal signing Joao Cancelo this summer
Gabby Agbonlahor has insisted he can “definitely see” Arsenal swooping for Man City right-back Joao Cancelo this summer.
The former Aston Villa striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, suggested the 28-year-old would be a real upgrade on current Gunners star Ben White.
According to 90min (11 May), Arsenal have joined Bayern Munich and Real Madrid in considering a summer move for Cancelo.
The report claims the Portugal international won’t be reintegrated into the Man City squad following his shock loan departure to Bayern in January.
Cancelo can make his move to the German giants permanent through a reported £61.5million option to buy inserted into the deal.
The right-back worked with Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta during the Spaniard’s time at Etihad Stadium as assistant manager.

Natural centre-back Ben White has starred in an unfamiliar right-back role for the Gunners this term.
When asked if a move for Cancelo is a real possibility for Arsenal, Agbonlahor told Football Insider’s Ewan Kingsbury: “Yeah, I can definitely see that.
“I don’t think Man City will want to gift any more players to Arsenal – but Arteta will know him inside out after working with him.
“I think it’d be a great signing.
“They need a right-back. Ben White has had a great season, but if you get Cancelo – you get more quality.
“I’m sure Arsenal would love to get that done if he becomes available.”
Cancelo has notched nine goals and 22 assists in 154 appearances in four years at Man City so far.
The former Juventus star has won two Premier League titles during his time in England.
