Agbonlahor names three Leeds priorities to become 'great side' after £25m reveal
Gabby Agbonlahor has suggested signing a new striker should not be the priority of Leeds United this summer.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England striker suggested a new left-back, central-midfielder and number 10 should be the Whites’ top transfer targets.
As revealed by Football Insider, the Yorkshire giants have set aside £20-£25million to sign a young striker with the potential to be a Premier League star.
Patrick Bamford has started all 37 of their Premier League games and has 16 goals and eight assists to his name.
Rodrigo was recruited from Valencia in the summer but has operated behind Bamford.
He was given a rare run out as a striker against Burnley at the weekend and grabbed a brace to round off a 4-0 win.

“I don’t think they need a striker if they’ve got Rodrigo hitting form,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“Rodrigo and Bamford may be enough. But then again, I look at a lot of teams and they’ve got three or four strikers so maybe one more wouldn’t hurt.
“It just depends on how much money they’ve got because there’s a lot of other areas they need to invest in.
“They need a left-back, another central-midfielder, maybe a number 10.
“Leeds are not far off from being a really great side. I don’t think a striker is a priority though.”
Leeds confirmed a top-half finish with their 2-0 win over Southampton on Tuesday night and they could finish within touching distance of the European places.
They host West Brom at Elland Road on Sunday, their first home game in front of fans this season.
