Gabby Agbonlahor has insisted both Mauricio Pochettino and Thomas Tuchel will be desperate to take charge at Tottenham at the end of the season.

The former Aston Villa striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, suggested it is "100%" certain that Antonio Conte and Spurs will part at the end of this campaign.

According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio (22 January), Conte has asked for contract talks to be put on standby, with his current deal set to expire at the end of this season.

He claims the former Chelsea boss "doesn't want to think about his future" at present.

Tottenham sit three points adrift of fourth-place Man United but have played one more game than their closest rivals.

Pochettino and Tuchel are both unemployed following their latest spells at Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea respectively.

Agbonlahor told Football Insider’s Ewan Kingsbury: “I think both managers are realistic targets, Pochettino and Tuchel.

“They’d snap your hand off to manage Spurs.

“Conte, for me, when I see his press conferences – I don’t see that fire, that commitment, the love.

“If Spurs said to him tomorrow to pack his stuff up and go home, he would say thank you very much.

“He doesn’t look like he’s on course and part of the project. He’s downbeat, and frustrated.

“I think it’s 100% now that he leaves at the end of the season.

Tottenham

“It’s a big decision now. They need someone who will play attacking football.

“They should ban five at the back. They need to play 4-3-3, exciting football.”
