The three sides who earn promotion from the Championship this season will all be interested in signing Matheus Pereira from West Brom in the summer.
That is the view of ex-Aston Villa and England striker Gabby Agbonlahor, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the Brazilian’s future after his price tag was reported.
Brazilian outlet UOL Esporte report the Baggies are ready to sell Pereira for €20million, or £17million.
Pereira has been a shining light in a poor West Brom team this season and continued his fine campaign against Chelsea at the weekend.
He scored twice and provided two assists at Stamford Bridge as the Albion recorded a shock 5-2 win.
Despite picking up three points, Sam Allardyce’s side are still staring down the barrel of relegation.
They are eight points behind Newcastle United in 17th with eight games remaining.
But Agbonlahor has claimed Pereira could still be in the Premier League in spite of where West Brom may end up.
He told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “I think he’s a good player, definitely.
“It just depends which teams in this market with covid have money available.
“Definitely he’s shown in a poor West Brom team that he can still score goals and get assists.
“I’m sure they’ll be some Premier League teams interested, definitely.
“Maybe some of the teams that come up this season from the Championship will definitely be looking at him.”
Pereira moved to the Hawthorns, initially on loan, at the beginning of last season and has racked up 16 goals and 25 assists in that time.
The 24-year-old has found the net seven times this season and contributed five assists in the Premier League this term.
