Agbonlahor tips 'Unstoppable' Lingard to be West Ham sensation
Gabby Agbonlahor insists Jesse Lingard will only get better under David Moyes at West Ham after he scored a brace on his debut.
Agbonlahor, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, claimed the 28-year-old was unstoppable against his former side Aston Villa.
Lingard made his debut at Villa Park after joining the Hammers in the late stages of the January transfer window on loan from Manchester United.
Lingard was lively throughout the evening against the Villains with his second-half brace proving to be vital in an eventual 3-1 win that kept the Hammers firmly in the hunt for a European spot.
The Red Devils’ loanee hadn’t started a Premier League game in over a year before he lined up for the Irons at Villa Park but he showed no signs of fatigue as he wowed former Villain Agbonlahor.
When asked if Moyes can get more out of Lingard, Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Dylan Childs, “Yeah, I think he can.

“He showed what he can do against Villa, he was unstoppable on the night and scored some great goals.
“I think Moyes will be able to get even more out of him the longer he’s there. Game time is the vital thing for him.
“He’s the type of player who’s only going to get better and better the more he plays, he needs minutes.”
Lingard missed the Hammers’ midweek FA Cup clash against Manchester United as he was unable to line up against his parent club with his new side losing 1-0 after extra time.
He could be selected in Moyes’ next Premier League squad as the Irons welcome Sheffield United to the London Stadium on Monday evening knowing that a win would take them above Liverpool in the table.
