'A top performer' – Agent opens up about immediate future of Tottenham centre-back
By Matt Bullin
Jan Vertonghen’s agent Tom de Mul has ruled out a move for his client from Tottenham this summer.
De Mul has stated that Vertonghen is “very happy” in London and at Spurs.
The 30-year-old Belgian has been one of the club’s key performers this season, which has seen them finish second in the Premier League and reach the semi-finals of the FA Cup.
He has formed a reliable partnership with fellow countryman Toby Alderweireld in the heart of defence and has made 40 appearances in all competitions.
TalkSPORT claim Inter Milan are lining up a potential summer move for the defender, but de Mul claims he is happy where he is, and is not looking for a move away.

Speaking to Tutto Mercato Web, he said: “[Vertonghen] is happy in London.
“He’s playing as a top performer in a top team and is certainly happy.”
Vertonghen has become a key player for Spurs and one of the best defenders in the Premier League since his move from Ajax in 2012, and has gone onto make more than 200 league and cup appearances for the club.
The 91-time Belgium international played the full 90 minutes as his side beat Man United 2-1 in the final ever game at White Hart Lane last Sunday, and he will look for another solid defensive performance on Thursday night when his side face Leicester.
In other Tottenham news, Pochettino has received a blow as this Premier League target looks to be opting for a move to Man United.
