Alfonso Pedraza delivers message to Leeds fans ahead of final fixtures

By Harvey Byrne

January addition Alfonso Pedraza has shared that Leeds now have three cup finals coming up ahead of the club’s final fixtures.

The Yorkshire giants have been battling within the top six of the Championship throughout the campaign, but they dropped out of the play-off spots for the first time since November on Monday following their 1-0 defeat against Wolves.

They are now placed in seventh on goal difference with three matches left of current season and those associated with the club are keen to put an end to the 13-year wait for top-flight football.

Those include loanee Pedraza, who shared to fans on his personal Twitter account on Friday afternoon that the club were of the mindset that their remaining fixtures were like cup finals.

Pedraza completed a move to Leeds in the winter window, joining on loan from La Liga outfit Villarreal until the end of the season.

It is reported that the Yorkshire giants have an option to buy the young Spaniard for £8.5million providing that they do win promotion and Garry Monk may prove keen to do so if he plays a role in helping the club into the Premier League.

Leeds will take on Burton next on Saturday before facing Norwich and then relegation battling Wigan on the final day.

In other Leeds news, David Prutton feels as though there is a double-edged sword regarding this club star’s game.
