Alfredo Morelos' career is 'gone' at Rangers - pundit
Frank McAvennie has claimed Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos’ career is “gone”.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Celtic striker claimed Morelos is only getting game time for Michael Beale because Kemar Roofe and Colak are injured.
The 26-year-old was in the starting lineup for the 2-0 victory over St Johnstone on Saturday (28 January) and provided the assist for Glen Kamara’s goal.
The striker has made 20 league appearances for Michael Beale’s side this season and has been in the starting lineup for seven of those games.
Antonio Colak, 29, had been the first choice forward before the World Cup break but has since picked up a knock and struggled to return to full fitness.
Kemar Roofe also picked up an injury after returning to action in the League Cup semi-final on 15 January.

McAvennie insisted that if Beale’s other options were fit, Morelos would be nowhere near the starting XI.
“The only reason he is getting a game is because Roofe and Colak are injured,” he told Football Insider.
“You can see that he is not fit. You look at him and think that he is not fit. Certainly not fit enough for top flight football. I really do not know why the manager does not batter him in training.
“It is not doing him any good and his career will be gone before he realises it. He was a different class striker. He was their talisman. The idea that he is going to go to a big club, there is not a chance.“
