Alisson Becker will not push for a move this summer amid Juventus interest as Liverpool weigh up whether to sell him.

Alisson signed a new contract at Liverpool earlier this year to extend his time at the club until the end of next season.

Reports have claimed that the Reds may have triggered that option in the Anfield goalkeeper’s contract ahead of a potential sale this summer, as several top clubs eye a move.

As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Transfer Insider podcast, Alisson is not particularly keen on leaving Anfield and will leave it up to the club’s board over whether they want to let him leave.

Liverpool’s transfer plans will need to change if he does make an exit, with a big summer ahead as they aim to replace several older players.

Alisson is a Liverpool legend, but has struggled with injury concerns in recent seasons and is currently sidelined with a hamstring problem.

There has been speculation that both Juventus and Inter Milan are plotting moves for the 33-year-old, but he still feels like he has something to offer on Merseyside.

Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: “For the player himself, I don’t think he will be the one pushing for the move. He will leave it up to Liverpool to decide what they want to do.

“Nothing is decided as yet. Alisson is content at Liverpool and happy and if Liverpool are content with him, I would imagine they will plan to keep him for next season.”
