Man United forward Amad Diallo took to social media to send a message to teammate Lisandro Martinez after his recent injury setback.

Martinez, 27, is set to miss the rest of the season for Man United after tearing his ACL in their 2-0 Premier League defeat to Crystal Palace on Sunday (February 2).

Ruben Amorim's side are now seriously lacking in numbers at the heart of defense, with just Harry Maguire, Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt, Johnny Evans, and Victor Lindelof, the only natural options available to play in the Portuguese coach's 3-4-3 system.

Martinez had been key for United before his most recent injury, starting 31 of his 32 games across all competitions, scoring two goals, and providing two assists in his 2711 minutes of action.

Amad Diallo backs Man United teammate Lisandro Martinez to "come back stronger."

Diallo, 22, is having a breakout season under Amorim, starting 23 of his 35 games across all competitions, scoring nine goals, and providing seven assists in his 2234 minutes on the field.

The wonderkid took to Instagram to send a message to his injured teammate, saying: "You will come back stronger Hermano."

United’s 2-0 Premier League defeat to Crystal Palace on Sunday (February 2) sees them fall to 13th with an FA Cup tie with Leicester on Friday (February 7) up next.
