Arsenal will travel to Switzerland to face Basel in the Champions League group stage on Tuesday evening.

The Gunners have already secured their qualification with 11 points from five matches, but they will be keen to reclaim the vital top spot from Paris Saint-Germain.

Here, Football Insider analyses the three Arsenal players who could be key to them smashing Basel and dethroning PSG:

Alexis Sanchez

The attacker bagged a stunning hat-trick in the 5-1 victory over West Ham on Saturday, and he could be set to retain his place on Tuesday evening.

The versatile forward has lead the line for Arsenal this season and has a return of 13 goals and nine assists in 19 appearances.

The goal threat posed from the Chile international will provide problems to the Basel defence and he will be looking to grab a few more goals against the Swiss outfit.

Mesut Ozil

The creative Germany international is one of the best players going forward in the world.

The 28-year-old has eight goals and five assists to his name in 18 appearances this season and it is key that he brings his class against Basel.

Arsenal are in need of the three points on Tuesday and Ozil’s class in the attack will be crucial to the team securing them.

Granit Xhaka

Arsenal will be expected to hold the majority of the possession against Basel and it is vital that Xhaka performs well in the midfield.

The 24-year-old summer signing has the potential to control the centre of the park from his defensive midfield position, which will allow more freedom for the attackers.

Xhaka was born in Basel and was a member of the team for 10 years between 2002 and 2012.

He could now be a decisive factor in compiling the misery on a disappointing European campaign for his home club.
