'Ange Postecoglou to be sacked by Tottenham' - 'Genuinely sorry' update
Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou being sacked is now "simply inevitable", according to Richard Keys.
The former Sky Sports presenter wrote in his blog on 20 January that he thinks Postecoglou's time as Spurs boss is coming to an end.
The Australian manager saw his side lose to a relegation-threatened Everton, 3-2 on Sunday (19 January).
Tottenham are now sat 15th in the Premier League table in what has been a miserable season for the North London side.
Postecoglou then clashed with a reporter after the match against Everton, saying sarcastically "“Yeah, OK. A great way to start an interview,” after being asked about the loss. [The Mirror]
Keys said in his blog post: "I’m afraid I’m running out of patience with big Ange. It’s coming to an end isn’t it? He looks a beaten man. I’m genuinely sorry that it is, but some things are simply inevitable."

This season was meant to be one where Spurs challenged for Champions League qualification, now they are teetering on the edge of being drawn into a relegation battle.
A fifth placed finish in 2023/24 seemed to signal new beginnings under Postecoglou, but injuries and poor form have devastated the North London side.
The 3-2 loss to Everton (19 January) - a scoreline that was generous to Tottenham given they scored two late consolation goals - once again exposed cracks in the way that Postecoglou is setting up his side.
Idrissa Gana Gueye was able to register two assists with passes in behind the high-line that the Australian insists upon, and Spurs once again lost the midfield battle.
The former Celtic boss' comments after the game showed the kind of pressure the manager is now under, with fans calling for him to be sacked.
The only silver-lining from this season has been results in the Carabao Cup, with Spurs holding a slender 1-0 lead over Liverpool going into the second-leg of the semi-final.
A loss in that competition may spell the end for Postecoglou, leaving Spurs once again looking to replace their manager.
Postecoglou may not be the only star leaving Spurs, Football Insider exclusively reported that striker Richarlison may also be leaving.
