Ange Postecoglou will have torn into 'disrespectful' Tottenham star Vicario after bust-up
Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou "would have said something" to Guglielmo Vicario after his "disrespectful" antics towards Newcastle forward Callum Wilson.
The Magpies suffered a 4-1 defeat away from home earlier this month (10 December) which preceded their heartbreaking exit from the Champions League after they lost to AC Milan.
Tension sparked between the Spurs shot-stopper and Wilson when the Italian seemed to pull faces in the striker's direction and get in his face towards the end of the clash when the Magpies' defeat was all but sealed.
McAvennie is firmly on Wilson's side and was adamant that the Australian boss would have been irritated by Vicario and would have had a few stern words with his influential goalkeeper.
"There's a certain way to win games," he told Football Insider.
"But Vicario should not be doing that, not in the game.
"Tottenham won't win anything. It's a total lack of respect from the goalkeeper but he kept doing it and giving it all that.
"If that's what they're having to do to beat Newcastle, then I'm sure Ange sorted him out afterwards, he would have been annoyed with him and said something after the game.
"He would want to much more than that"
