Ossie Ardiles has taken to Twitter to urge Tottenham to get the job done against Manchester United on Sunday.
Jose Mourinho’s men will travel to North London to take part in the final match that will be hosted at White Hart Lane ahead of its demolition.
Ardiles, a Spurs legend, has reminded Mauricio Pochettino and the squad not to let the occasion get to them and make sure that they put three points ahead of everything else that will be happening around them on what is bound to be a very emotional day in the capital.
“With all the celebrations, the most important thing is to win the game. So, all the very best Mauricio Pochettino and the boys. Close White Hart Lane with a win. Come on you Spurs,” said the 64-year-old on his personal Twitter account.

Many great players have graced The Lane over the years and Ardiles is perhaps one of the most revered of all.
He spent ten years on the books at Spurs before he left them in 1988 for Blackburn, but he was a big part of the famous 1980s squad that lifted both the 1981 FA Cup and the UEFA Cup two years later.
The former midfielder was also a part of the legendary Argentinian World Cup winning team of 1978.
Tottenham’s hopes of winning a maiden Premier League title were ruined on Friday night as Chelsea earned a very narrow 1-0 win at West Brom.
Pochettino’s men can still keep their hopes of finishing second though if they manage to earn a win against Mourinho’s Man United.
