Armando Broja told to sign for Newcastle after journalist's update - pundit

Alan Hutton has told Armando Broja to leave Chelsea on loan amid transfer interest from Newcastle United and Everton.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Tottenham and Aston Villa defender urged Broja to find a club where he can be guaranteed game time.

According to journalist Simon Phillips (2 November), Newcastle are monitoring the 21-year-old’s situation ahead of the January window in case he becomes available for loan.

The striker’s deal at Stamford Bridge runs until 2028 after he signed for the senior team following a successful loan spell at Southampton last season.

The Albanian has made 17 appearances for the Blues so far this season but has only started one of those games.

When asked if Broja would consider a loan move to Newcastle, Hutton told Football Insider: “I do not see why not.

You want to play football. He did really well at Southampton, he has gone back into Chelsea and he is getting game time.

Graham Potter is bringing him on off the bench in a lot of the games so far. He will feel that he can do a job at Chelsea. Whether that is going to be from the starting lineup, only Potter will know that.

If he is not going to get the minutes he wants, he has to look somewhere else and I think Newcastle are a team that are going places at this moment in time. You would want to be part of that.

But, again, if everyone is fit he probably will not play week in week out. That is where there is going to be a difficult decision for him. He has to go somewhere to play not just sit on the bench.
