Ajax star Brian Brobbey is just one of the names on the shortlist at Arsenal as they hunt for a new striker, sources have told Football Insider.

It has been widely reported that the Gunners and Man United are preparing to go head-to-head to land the 22-year-old.

However, it is believed Arsenal's move for Brobbey is not as advanced as some reports suggest.

The Gunners have been forced to abandon their moves for Napoli's Victor Osimhen and Sporting CP star Viktor Gyokeres.

Brobbey is one name on the shortlist at the Emirates Stadium but the club are keeping their options open as the transfer window gets into full swing.

The forward previously spoke out about a potential move to the Emirates Stadium, describing Arsenal as a “very nice club”.

He started in 41 of his 43 appearances during the 2023-24 campaign, notching 22 goals and 12 assists in those outings.

Brobbey is part of the Netherlands squad currently playing at the European Championships in Germany but is yet to make an appearance at the tournament.
