Arsenal backed to re-sign Odegaard after Real Madrid update - Campbell
There is every chance that Martin Odegaard could be playing in an Arsenal shirt again next season.
So says ex-Gunners hitman Kevin Campbell, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the 22-year-old who spent 2020-21 on loan at the Emirates.
Football.london reported on 26th July that the attacking midfielder could still leave Real Madrid this summer and that Arsenal remain interested.
Odegaard, whose contract at the Bernabeu runs until 2023, is claimed to be open to moving back to North London this summer.
And Los Blancos will reportedly listen to offers for the man who scored twice and supplied two assists in 20 appearances for Arsenal last term.
Campbell suggests that Odegaard may have realised he is not likely to get the first-team football he craves at Real.

“I could see this happening if it’s what they want,” he told Football Insider’s Dylan Childs.
“He’ll have gone back and he’ll have been thinking he’s going to get that opportunity he was looking for at Real Madrid.
“But with pre-season the way it is now, you get an inkling that you aren’t going to get as many chances as you’d like.
“Let’s be honest, Arsenal really, really like him, they love him. So why can’t they go back in for him?”
Arsenal have signed Albert Sambi Lokonga and Nuno Tavares so far in this summer window.
Real Madrid’s only addition so far is David Alaba while Brahim Diaz left the club on loan and Sergio Ramos departed to PSG on a free transfer.
