Arsenal could be without Partey for six weeks amid reveal via BBC - Campbell
Kevin Campbell has claimed it is a “massive shame” Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has injured himself in pre-season.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Gunners and Everton striker predicts the 28-year-old will be out for “four to six weeks” as a result of the problem.
Partey limped off in the first half of Arsenal’s 2-1 pre-season defeat to Chelsea following a challenge from Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
The centre-midfielder is having a scan on his ankle to determine the severity of the injury.
As quoted by the BBC on August 1st, Mikel Arteta revealed the initial diagnosis is “not looking good”.

“It’s a massive shame for everyone because he has really looked the part in pre-season. Big things are expected from him in this second season because he looked great towards the end of the last.
“Injuries are part and parcel of the game sadly. I’m not sure how long he is out for but one thing is for sure, we need him.
“I guess he will be out for four to six weeks. Hopefully after that he will be ok.
“My fingers and everything are crossed because he is a player that we need next season. He is vital.”
Partey arrived to the Emirates 12 months ago for a fee of £45million from Atletico Madrid.
His first season in England was interrupted by injury and he managed to amass 33 appearances across all competitions.
